TAME stands for Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering. The non profit organization focuses on increasing and strengthening minority and female participation in the engineering, scientific and computer science professions. TAME hosts a yearly competition event free for middle school and high school students (grade 6-12) . The competition includes math/science tests as well as a team challenge. The following is an example schedule:
Time Activity
8:30-9:00 Student Check-in
9:00-9:15 Welcome
9:15-10:15 Math Test
10:15-11:15 Science Test
11:15-12:00 Lunch with Future Scientists and Engineers
12:00-2:00 Team Design Challenge
2:00-3:00 Chemistry Circus
3:00-4:00 Awards Ceremony
The tests are divided into two sections: Math and Science. Within each section, there are multiple levels. For example, in 2012, Math has 11 levels and Science has 9 levels. In this way, children can pick up the test based on their current study level and win prizes more easily.
In 2013, the event was hold at UT. The following are two photos.

The Chemistry Circus provided in 2013 is really fun! One of the photo is a nitrogen explosion.
